NET Trans
NET Trans is the Northeast Tennessee Regional Public Transit system, offering door-to-door demand-response transport with flexible schedules. It provides access from rural areas to the major cities, and regional connectivity between Bristol, Johnson City and Kingsport.

LIHEAP — help with your energy bill
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program helps households pay their home energy bills. It is run locally by the Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency (UETHDA) through the Neighborhood Service Center. Assistance is available once a year. Grants are awarded on a points-based system so the most in need are helped first, and payments go directly to the energy provider.
What you will need to bring
- A valid email address for every applicant — an application without one will not be processed
- Acceptable government-issued photo ID for the applicant
- Original social security cards for everyone in the household
- Energy usage history for the past 12 months for every LIHEAP-supported utility — or, if you have lived there less than a year, for however long you have been at the address
- All income documentation for the past 30 days
- If anyone in the household aged 18 or over is not in high school and reports no income, one Verification of Income and Expense form covering all such people
Applications missing any required documentation will not be processed.

A diaper pantry in Church Hill, off Highway 11W in the Church Hill Shopping Centre, down from Homestead Antiques and the food bank.

Church Hill Medical Mission
A community-based clinic providing general medical care and medications for uninsured and low-income residents. Based in Hawkins County, it also serves the surrounding counties of North East Tennessee.

- Limited referrals to area specialists, through Project Access
- Lab testing
- Patient pharmacy assistance programme
Who is eligible
Patients must be uninsured and at or below 200% of the poverty level. Applications can be downloaded from their website or collected during business hours. Bring photo ID and proof of income when you submit. Both the diabetes clinic and the general medical clinics are by appointment only, with day and evening clinics available.
