My name is Mary Faulkner; I am a retired Sullivan County teacher. I am a volunteer and enjoy helping others. Helping others is what God asks us to do in his name; I serve for that reason. Volunteering has been an interesting experience as you connect with many other volunteers serving for the same reasons that you are. We are called and made for serving; it is a very full-filling experience to know you have contributed to families who have needs.
Hope Help TN is an independent agency helping so many families in our area who need a hand up, not a handout. All of us could need this at one time or another. I try to be a smiling face with a positive attitude when doing what is needed at Hope Helps TN. It really is not much, just giving of your time a few days per week, but it is helping this volunteer organization work to provide food, clothing, and furniture for our clients.
